BTS' Suga Apologizes After Driving Without a License
Formal Statement Issued After License Suspension
Carless Behavior and Wrongful Actions Regretted
Suga, a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, issued a formal apology on Wednesday after being stopped by police for riding an electric scooter without a license. The incident resulted in the suspension of his license and a fine.
In a statement released through his agency, Big Hit Music, Suga expressed regret for his actions. "I am deeply sorry for the hurt and disappointment I have caused to my fans and to those who have been affected by my carelessness and wrongful behavior," he said.
Suga, whose real name is Min Yoon-gi, acknowledged that his actions were irresponsible and violated the law. He vowed to learn from his mistake and to be more mindful of his behavior in the future.
The apology comes after BTS wrapped up a successful world tour that included sold-out concerts in major cities around the globe. The group is set to release a new album later this year.
