Iconic British Brand Expands into New Market
BSA Motorcycles, the iconic British brand, is set to make its debut in India on August 15, 2024, marking its expansion into a new market under the ownership of Classic Legends.
The move comes after an overwhelming response in the international market for BSA's classic motorcycles. Founded in 1861 as the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA), the brand initially produced firearms before venturing into motorcycles in 1903.
The first product from BSA Motorcycles to be unveiled in India will be the BSA Gold Star, a legendary motorcycle that has been reintroduced with modern upgrades. The Gold Star will be manufactured in India by Classic Legends, which also owns the rights to the Jawa and Yezdi brands.
BSA's entry into the Indian market is expected to intensify competition in the premium motorcycle segment, which is currently dominated by brands such as Royal Enfield and Harley-Davidson. The Gold Star is expected to be priced competitively, making it an attractive option for enthusiasts who seek a classic British motorcycle experience.
